Chester City have been given permission to start the new Blue Square Conference Premier season this Saturday but will have to start with a 25 point deduction. City were already due to be docked an automatic 10 points for having gone into voluntary administration following relegation from the Coca-Cola Football League Division Two in May but an interim statement last night issued by the Football Conference has confirmed the increased penalty.
Thats a harsh deduction 10 or 15 seems fair. Guess we will have to wait and see why so much, but I think that makes them pretty dead to start with.

AFC Wimbledon will start life in the Blue Square Conference Premier on Saturday the 8th August at home v Luton Town who were relegated at the end of last season from the Football League Division 2. The first away match will be on Tuesday the 11th August v Eastbourne Borough. The complete fixture lists will be on this site as soon as possible but in the meantime the AFC fixtures can be seen here. Please bear with us while the statistics on this site are being updated in preparation for the launch of a new layout.
Fans may not know that the Conference fixtures are prepared 'by hand', rather than using a computer program. At the recent AGM Dennis Strudwick was praised for his work, which member clubs appear to prefer to the automated approach used by most other leagues.
